Since it's the holiday season. We decided to make a list of stocking stuffer ideas for hunters. These are things we use that are small and pretty cheap. They should make filling a stocking pretty easy and fun. We all know hunters like tend to collect lots of things through time so here's how you can contribute to it.
One thing you should know about us is that we are horrible at keeping secrets from each other and especially if the secret involves a gift. Lately I have been working a lot of overtime since we have a wedding and holidays to pay for. This worked out well when Black Friday came around.
With plans made and shotguns and vests in tow, we made the long drive to Big Sky Country, one of my bucket list states to hunt in, and quickly fell in love with that state. I felt like heaven is very close to what Montana looked like. As we drove through, my hunter mind was going crazy thinking, “This is great coyote country” or “This looks like we’ll have a blast upland hunting.” The hills were begging for us to walk it and look for some game. After we arrived, we got set up for bed and were excited for what the next two days would bring.
A summary of the waterfowl and upland gear I've bought for my fiance.
Pheasant hunting in Utah isn’t always the easiest the easiest thing to do. Pheasants don’t winter well in Utah and depending on where you go, there’s some decent pressure on the birds. With all of that in mind, my fiancé and I decided we wanted to sleep in a little and break up the duck hunting by going pheasant hunting.
I know this blog is about my fiancé and I hunting and getting her into hunting but these last two weeks we had a few things planned that broke up our hunting a little bit. We went on what my buddy called a "nature walk" and back packed to Havasupai Falls which was pretty fun on its own.
The desert is one of my favorite places to hang out. Even though it looks plain and like it doesn’t have much going on, taking a day and spending it out there will change your mind. My fiancé and I decided to go coyote hunting one day.
Losing birds and losing my mind. This was not a trip to brag about but we still loved it.
If you want to hunt, you need to learn how to shoot. Here's how that went
